We’re heading back to Alaska! 🏔️🚢 But this time, our adventure starts BEFORE we ever step foot on the cruise ship. Instead of flying into Vancouver and heading straight to the port, we decided to arrive two days early and see if spending 48 hours in Vancouver before an Alaska cruise is actually worth it. We’re staying at the Pan Pacific Vancouver, located right at Canada Place and directly above the cruise terminal. It’s hard to imagine a more convenient place to stay before a cruise, but is the location really worth it? And we’re not just hanging around the hotel… 🐋 We’re heading out on a Vancouver whale watching excursion 🏙️ Exploring some of Vancouver 🍽️ Trying some local food 🌊 Spending time along the beautiful Vancouver waterfront 🚢 And getting ready to board Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas for our 7-night Alaska Inside Passage cruise! This is actually our SECOND Alaska cruise. Last year, we sailed aboard Anthem of the Seas from Seattle, so this time we’re changing things up—departing from Vancouver, sailing on a much smaller ship, and even letting Royal Caribbean choose our cabin with a Guaranteed Suite.
