Cairns looked like the perfect stop on our Australian travels — but our experience turned out to be a mix of luxury, adventure, rough weather and a few unexpected discoveries! In this Cairns travel vlog, we take the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway and experience BOTH Gold Class and Heritage Class as we travel through the stunning rainforest towards Kuranda. We also head out to Green Island and the Great Barrier Reef, but the weather has other ideas! With some seriously rough conditions, this turns into a very different Great Barrier Reef experience from what we expected. Back in Cairns, we go in search of something far less glamorous — Cairns' highest-rated laundromat! As long-term travel nomads, laundry is part of everyday life, so we put it to the test. And after all that exploring, we check into the Hilton Cairns and stay in a Suite to see what this luxury hotel is really like.
