Wicked Took Over Universal Studios Singapore 🇸🇬
Singapore delivers immediately — and this trip somehow manages to mix Disney magic, Broadway-level theatre, and full-on theme park chaos. JB and I arrive at Changi Airport and head straight to Jewel, where we check out the Disney Adventure activations and decorations scattered throughout the space (because yes, even airports go hard in Singapore). If you’re wondering whether Jewel is worth visiting even if you’re not flying… the answer is absolutely yes. We check in to the Mercure Icon Singapore, then head out on foot to explore the city — taking in the harbour views and visiting the iconic Merlion before calling it a night. Not long after, Mum joins the trip after flying in from Sydney, officially turning this into a family adventure. The next day, we head to Universal Studios Singapore on a very specific mission: meet Elphaba and Glinda. We meet both witches, come face-to-face with the Wizard, and check out stunning costumes from Wicked: For Good, making this a dream stop for musical theatre fans. Of course, we also hit the rides — taking on Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs CYLON, Revenge of the Mummy, Transformers: The Ride, Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey, and Sesame Street: Spaghetti Space Chase. It’s a full-day park blitz, with just enough chaos to keep things interesting. We wrap things up at the Togetherland Christmas Market, before finishing the trip in style with Beauty and the Beast: The Musical at Marina Bay Sands — the perfect theatrical full stop to a packed Singapore itinerary. Theme parks, musicals, family time, and a city that never stops impressing — Singapore understood the assignment.
