WHERE DID ALL THESE BIRDS COME FROM?

Never seen this before on a cruise, the ship was miles out to sea in between Norway and Orkney Islands and at 1am all these sea birds started following the ship. Lit up by the ship lights they were bright white against the black night sky. There were hundreds of birds and it looked amazing.
