Blaze Aboard NCL's Future Flagship, Luxury Cruise Passenger Dies, & Adventure of the Seas Goes Dark
A passenger aboard the luxury ship Seven Seas Voyager died during a port call in County Donegal, Ireland, in what authorities are treating as a medical emergency rather than a criminal matter, with the ship continuing on to Southampton. A fire broke out aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's future flagship Norwegian Aura at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, sending up thick black smoke, though it was quickly contained with no injuries and no expected delay to the May 2027 debut. And Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas suffered a blackout before dinner on a Southern Caribbean sailing, plunging cabins into darkness and stopping elevators until power returned about 30 minutes later.
