Hero of the Seas Debuts Early With Two New Cruises, Scarlet Lady Faces Huge Claim, Carnival Delayed
Royal Caribbean has moved up the debut of Hero of the Seas, adding two cruises before its original August 11th, 2027 maiden voyage, with booked guests able to switch to the earlier sailings without change fees. Carnival Spirit's October repositioning cruise has been delayed a day after the ship needed extra repairs in Hawaii, cancelling its Cabo San Lucas stop but offering refunds, a $250 onboard credit, and some expense reimbursements. And a catamaran owner in Rhodes has filed a €400,000 claim against Virgin Voyages' Scarlet Lady after the ship's mooring lines snapped and it collided with his vessel, with the case heading to court in early 2027.
