The calendar said Sunday
The calendar said Sunday. Then it said Sunday again. 🗓️ [📌 Save this if a South Pacific cruise is on your list] Somewhere between Samoa and American Samoa, our ship crossed the international date line and the day just... reset. 🌐 What the international date line actually does: The line exists because the world needed a place where one calendar day ends and another begins. Cross it heading east, and you gain a full day. Cross it heading west, you lose one. 🛳️ We crossed it heading east, which meant Sunday played on repeat. Same light. Same sky. Same ship. Different date. And both islands? Deeply, sincerely closed for Sunday 😂 It’s one of those experiences that sounds like a physics problem until you’re living it, watching the same sunset light fall twice from the same deck, wondering if this counts as time travel. Honestly, it kind of does. What would you do with a surprise extra Sunday in the South Pacific? ⬇️ 🌍 Hey, we’re Julie & Chris, full-time travelers, 95 countries and counting.
