The Most Important Thing You Need To Take With You

I've been in the cruise industry for over 16 years now, and this has NEVER happened before! A quick moment of honesty... I am pretty new to Youtube. I've spent so many years on the short form platforms, that I naturally hold my phone in portrait mode, and find it easier to handle when filming myself and other people up close. I was also under the impression that most people consumed all online media on their phones, as I do, but I guess that's because I'm always on the go, however, I've received a handful of comments from people complaining about the fact that I'm blacking out two thirds of the screen, and after looking at the data, I was shocked to discover that over half of my audience, watch my videos on a tv, so firstly, I would like to apologise, as my videos up to this point are optimised for phones and tablets, where you can enjoy them filling the screen in portrait mode, however, I've just purchased a DJI pocket camera, so going forwards, all of my videos will be filmed and uploaded in the correct landscape format for tv. With that said, I have a backlog of 3 or 4 videos that I filmed in recent months months in my usual way, and they are too good to not upload, even if not ideal viewing on a tv. All I ask is that you stick with me and you'll see that come the end of this month (June 2026) all uploads will be landscape.
