This was our fourth visit to Palma, but this time we decided to do something different. We didn't have a big tour planned—we simply took the shuttle from the ship and headed toward the beautiful cathedral. What happened next surprised us because we discovered an entire part of Palma that we'd never explored before! We walk around the incredible cathedral area, find a beautiful café where we stop for coffee and a delicious Nutella crepe with fresh berries, wander through cobblestone streets and little alleyways, and discover what Joyce calls "Mallorca Pearl heaven!" Joyce even finds a beautiful strand of Mallorca pearls to bring home. One of the things we really like about Palma is that you CAN explore it on your own. In this video, we show you what we did, how we got there from Sun Princess, and some of the different options available—including the cruise shuttle, walking, organized tours, and the hop-on hop-off bus. We've visited Palma several times and have tried different ways of seeing the city, but this turned into one of our most enjoyable days here.
