It's our FINAL DAY aboard Marella Discovery 2 — but after a week cruising the Mediterranean, the big question is… WAS IT WORTH IT? Welcome to the final instalment of our Highlights of the Mediterranean cruise on Marella Discovery 2, covering our last full sea day, our return to Palma de Mallorca, and what actually happens when it's time to disembark and head home. While many passengers spend their sea day relaxing around the pool, a sea day for Mida Travel can be rather different! Mike and Dave are busy completing the filming for our Marella Discovery 2 full ship tour, so we'll take you behind the scenes as we race around the ship trying to capture everything before the cruise comes to an end. But it's not all work! 🕺 Mike takes to the dance floor and attempts to learn the Merengue with the professional dancers — with somewhat mixed results! 🍰 We return to the Great British Musical Afternoon Tea in Restaurant 47. We absolutely loved this experience when we sailed on Discovery 2 back in 2022, but would it still be as good this time? 💆 Mike also pays a visit to the Ocean Spa for a facial treatment. Was it relaxing, was it worth the money…and would he do it again? 🚢 Along the way we'll show you some of the different ways you can spend a sea day on Marella Discovery 2, especially if spending the entire day around a busy pool deck isn't your thing. Then comes that moment every cruiser dreads — the final night and packing the cases! The following morning we're back in Palma de Mallorca, where we'll show you what happens on disembarkation day with Marella Cruises. How does leaving the ship work? What happens to your luggage? How quickly do you get off? And what happens between leaving Discovery 2 and heading to the airport? After eight days aboard, we'll also begin answering the question we've been asking throughout this cruise: Was Marella Discovery 2 worth it? It's been a fantastic Mediterranean adventure taking in Barcelona, San Remo, Livorno, Civitavecchia and Ajaccio, with plenty of surprises along the way — both good and bad!
