For a really tall tale just study giraffes - the tallest mammals on earth - up to 5.5m (18 ft).
Giraffes spend almost their entire lives standing up and even give birth from a standing position, which means newborn calves drop 1.5 meters to the ground upon arrival. Ouch! They nearly always sleep standing up, usually for a few minutes at a time for a total of about 30 minutes per day. The ultimate nappers. Giraffes also have very long tongues, up to 50cm, with thickened skin for protection from thorns while they eat. Their spots, unique for each animal, may help them stay cool and are good for camouflage. But in spite of their unusual appearance, they are standard mammals that have simply stretched their blueprint to the limit. https://www.youtube.com/@HavePension-WillTravel HavePension-WillTravel 🌍✈️ | Travel for the Young at Heart Travel Vlog Welcome to HavePension-WillTravel, where adventure knows no age!
