Carnival Changed Its Back-to-Back Process! Our Jubilee Experience Was a MESS

Carnival has changed the back-to-back cruise process — and our experience on Carnival Jubilee was a MESS! We recently sailed back-to-back cruises on Carnival Jubilee shortly after Carnival began using a new procedure for B2B guests. Instead of leaving the ship and going through Customs in the terminal, hundreds of back-to-back passengers gathered onboard while the ship was completely cleared. Customs then came onboard to verify everyone before the next cruise could begin. We were told to report to the Atlantic Restaurant at 9:00 AM. We arrived 10 minutes early, but the restaurant was already packed and we ended up in Group 4 of six groups. Then came the waiting. We’ll walk you through exactly what happened — getting new Sail & Sign cards, having our photos taken again, waiting for the ship to reach zero count, Customs coming onboard, and what we learned about leaving the ship during turnaround day. In theory, this new process sounds like it should make a Carnival back-to-back easier. In our experience? Not yet!
