This summer Norwegian was named the worst major line for overall satisfaction, and among cruisers our age I'm watching a quiet exodus. In this video I give you the honest picture — the very specific 2026 pattern people call nickel-and-diming: the room-service limits with the same fee, the $5 extra-entrée charge, the beverage package that stopped working at Norwegian's own private island, and the gratuity hikes — plus a freestyle model that can leave an older cruiser feeling unlooked-after. Then the 3 lines seniors are booking instead: Viking for an adults-only, nearly-all-included world, Celebrity for polished quality without the upsell, and Holland America for structure, grace, and real human care. A gentle, honest note: this is my opinion based on documented 2026 changes and what I'm hearing from fellow cruisers — Norwegian has real strengths and plenty of happy guests, and every line raised prices this year. Prices and policies change; confirm current details with each cruise line. This channel is general travel information, not financial advice, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any cruise line.
