Yes. It’s in your cruise contract. A GUARANTEE cabin means you’re guaranteed a CATEGORY (like balcony), not a cabin number. Cruise lines oversell that category on purpose because they expect cancellations. If no one cancels? They upgrade people, ask for volunteers with BIG offers (refund + future cruise credit + hotel). If no one volunteers - they can deny boarding. And guarantee cabins are assigned LAST, so if you have no status and booked the cheapest guarantee, you’re first on that list. It’s RARE - but it happens. And it’s not just guarantees, even assigned cabins can be bumped in an oversell. This is why I always tell my clients: ✅ Book ASSIGNED if your dates aren’t flexible ✅ Only book guarantee if you can move dates ✅ Check in the second it opens ✅ And have an advisor who gets the alert when your sailing is flagged as oversold Have you ever booked a guarantee cabin? Did you get upgraded or... bumped? 👇 COMMENT the word CRUISE and I’ll send you my Cruise Essentials Guide + a link to help me plan your next cruise booking! #guaranteecabin #cruisetips #cruisehacks #cruise101 #cruiseadvisor
