Skipping Excursions in Sitka + Dinner at Jacques | Oceania Riviera
We'd already done the big excursions in Sitka on an earlier visit — so this time we slowed down, wandered one of the prettiest little towns in Alaska, and saved our appetite for the best dinner on the whole ship: Jacques. In this stop on our Oceania Riviera Alaska sailing, we skip the shore excursions and just explore Sitka on foot — the Russian history, St. Michael's Cathedral, the harbor, and that quiet small-town feel that makes this port so special. Then we head back onboard for dinner at Jacques, Oceania's French specialty restaurant… and honestly, it turned out to be our favorite meal of the entire cruise.
