🚨 **CARNIVAL REWARDS: WHAT DID LOYALTY CRUISERS REALLY LOSE?** 🚨 Carnival’s new **Carnival Rewards** program officially launches **September 1, 2026** — replacing the longtime VIFP system\. And while Carnival is promoting the NEW rewards, points and ways to redeem them… tonight we’re asking a different question: **WHAT DID LOYAL CARNIVAL CRUISERS GIVE UP TO GET IT?** 🤔🛳️ ### 🔴 WHAT’S BEING TAKEN AWAY? ❌ The **VIFP Club gift** is gone\. ❌ The **VIFP gold pin** is gone\. ❌ Diamond/Platinum party? GONE!! ❌ For most cruisers, loyalty status is no longer something you simply earn and keep forever\. **Status is now tied to a two\-year qualification system and spending/activity\.** ❌ **Platinum is no longer lifetime status\.** Existing Platinum members receive transitional protection through December 31, 2028, plus a 10,000\-star boost at the beginning of each new two\-year earning cycle\. ❌ The old VIFP philosophy of rewarding primarily for **how often you cruise** is being replaced by a system that places much greater emphasis on **how much you spend\.** And that raises the BIG question: ### 💰 IS CARNIVAL REWARDS REALLY A REWARD FOR LOYALTY — OR A REWARD FOR SPENDING? ### 🟢 BUT THERE ARE SOME BIG POSITIVES… Carnival Rewards does offer some attractive features: ⭐ **3 Rewards Points for every $1** spent on eligible Carnival purchases\. ⭐ Points can be used toward things like **cruise fares, specialty dining, spa treatments, gratuities and onboard experiences\.** ⭐ **Casino activity** can earn both points and Status Qualifying Stars\. ⭐ Platinum and Diamond members still receive valuable perks including **priority embarkation/debarkation, complimentary Wash & Fold, beverages, water and preferred dining benefits\.** ⭐ **Existing Diamond members who earned Diamond by August 31, 2026 receive lifetime Diamond status\.** ⭐ Existing Platinum members receive **10,000 Status Qualifying Stars** at the beginning of each new two\-year earning cycle\. ⭐ There’s also a new **Milestone Rewards program** recognizing days sailed\.
