We start the day with Captain Josh on a Whales & Drones excursion, searching for humpback whales and other wildlife throughout Icy Strait. Along the way, we encounter sea otters, seals, sea lions, bald eagles, and even one of Southeast Alaska's most famous humpbacks, Flame! We also get an incredible look at Alaska's marine wildlife through drone footage captured by our tour operators, including footage from other excursions. Just when I thought our day on the water was finished, my buddy Patrick talked me into joining his Ocean Raft Adventure! This high-speed wildlife excursion takes us through the waves for a completely different experience. To finish the day, we ride the SkyGlider Gondola up to Sky Peak, approximately 1,600 feet above sea level, for some incredible views overlooking Icy Strait Point and the surrounding waters.
