Hero of the Seas: the “inaugural” Royal Caribbean cruise in 2027 isn’t the first sailing anymore now

Royal Caribbean has added two Hero of the Seas cruises before the ship’s originally advertised August 11, 2027 inaugural sailing. Hero will now begin passenger service from Miami on August 1 with a seven-night Western Caribbean and Perfect Day at CocoCay cruise. A three-night CocoCay getaway follows on August 8, making the original inaugural cruise Hero’s third scheduled passenger sailing. Guests booked on August 11 received priority access to the earlier dates and can switch without a change fee through October 14. However, availability and current pricing still apply, so changing dates may mean a different cabin or a higher price. Similar earlier sailings were also added before the original debuts of Star of the Seas and Legend of the Seas.
