Marella Discovery 2 – Ajaccio Corsica | Saved the Best Till Last?
Welcome to Day 6 of our Highlights of the Mediterranean cruise onboard Marella Discovery 2! 🚢☀️ Today we arrive at our final port of call before returning to Palma — the absolutely beautiful Ajaccio, Corsica. 🇫🇷 But the big question is… have we SAVED THE BEST TILL LAST? 👀 We had heard good things about Corsica, but we weren't quite prepared for just how much we would enjoy Ajaccio. In fact, by the end of the day, it had firmly become one of our favourite cruise ports! Join us as we head ashore and take you on an exciting — and at times surprising — tour around Ajaccio. We'll explore the colourful streets, visit the bustling local market, take in the beautiful harbour, discover the gorgeous beach and, of course, learn more about the city's most famous former resident — Napoleon Bonaparte — as we visit his family home and museum. And there's plenty happening back onboard Marella Discovery 2 too! We start the day with breakfast at The Glass House, before later enjoying something a little different — a special barbecue on the Pool Deck. 🍔🌭☀️ As evening arrives, it's time for another brand-new show for us as we head to the theatre to watch Jumbo and the Wonder Circus. 🎪🎭 But the day isn't over yet! We finish what has been a truly memorable day with the fantastic Island Vibes Party, dancing and singing along to the brilliant 4Tunes. 🎶🍹🏝️ Beautiful scenery, fascinating history, a gorgeous beach, great food, entertainment and a fantastic party to finish — Ajaccio really did have it all!
