I have been interested in sailing boats and most things nautical most of my life from a very young age. The first boat I made was at, maybe, 6 years old and was a block of wood with a wire mast and paper sail which I floated in our cellar, temporarily flooded by a burst of rain. The first large yacht I owned, Dreamtime, was one I built in 2.5 years while still working a full time job to pay for it. Dreamtime was a 36ft steel yacht I built and launched in January 1974 in Melbourne Australia, Just after my 26th birthday. There are several playlists about the build and travels In another time and place - 2005 - I purchased Free Ascent, a 10.5m (34ft) steel yacht in Perth Australia. It was in a somewhat unused state. There is a playlist of videos showing the Resurrection of Free Ascent and subsequent travels. Other items of interest will appear as time goes by.
