La Coruña Downpour During Arvia Cruise Stop
🌧️ RAINY DAY IN LA CORUÑA, SPAIN! | P&O ARVIA MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE #LaCoruna #ACoruna #POArvia Welcome back to Travels with the Russells! Today on our P&O Arvia Mediterranean cruise, we arrive in La Coruña (A Coruña), Galicia, Spain — and, well… the Spanish sunshine seems to have taken the day off! 🌧️😂 Despite the rain, Julie and I head ashore for a walking tour of La Coruña, exploring some of the historic sights and atmosphere of this fascinating Spanish city. La Coruña is a brilliant cruise-port destination, with its Atlantic waterfront, historic Old Town, beautiful squares and famous landmarks. We take a look around the city and discover some of the sights that make A Coruña such an interesting place to visit. Among the highlights is Plaza de María Pita, the impressive central square dominated by the magnificent City Hall. We also explore the historic streets and take in the atmosphere of the Old Town before seeing one of the city's most famous landmarks — the Tower of Hercules. The Tower of Hercules is particularly special. Dating back to Roman times, it is recognised as the oldest working Roman lighthouse in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been watching over this stretch of Atlantic coastline for nearly 2,000 years — so a bit of rain certainly isn't going to bother it! 😄 We also take in the waterfront, historic architecture and some of the other sights around La Coruña as we make our way through the city. And because this is a real day on a cruise, you'll see La Coruña as we actually experienced it — rain and all!
