Royal Caribbean cruise with a baby? One family says they were turned away at the pier after the route changed the night before. The sailing was reported as an October 2026 departure from Cape Liberty, New Jersey. The new route had three days in a row at sea. Royal Caribbean's infant policy says babies must be at least 6 months old, and that any cruise with 3 or more consecutive sea days requires infants to be 12 months old on the first day of the cruise. Her daughter was 8 months old. The mom says she lost the whole trip, her husband's birthday included, and got a refund and a phone number. Staff told her an email went out around 10 PM the night before. She says it never arrived. Another family did get it, and it did not mention babies. The cruise line's side: the cruise contract lets Royal Caribbean change ports for any reason without notice, and the infant policy says underage infants will be denied boarding and that no refunds or other compensation are due.
