TAIWAN'S NAVY SQUADRON GOODWILL VISIT || Shipspotting Castries St. Lucia || 12.04.2026
The 2026 Midshipmen Cruising & Training Squadron (MCTS) of the Republic of China Navy, led by Commander RADM Chen Ming-Feng, visited Saint Lucia from Sunday, April 12, 2026 to Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The Midshipmen Cruising & Training Squadron’s mission includes training and goodwill visits to Taiwan’s diplomatic allies. This year, their voyage has started from the Pacific to the Caribbean to strengthen the close and enduring friendship between Taiwan and its diplomatic allies through cultural exchanges. The vessels arrived in Port Castries on Sunday, April 12, 2026. On Monday morning, April 13, an official welcome ceremony was hosted at the Pointe Seraphine Pier in Castries, followed by a Squadron Performance from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. featuring a marching band, an honour guard parade, and martial arts demonstrations. The performances was open to the public.
