Is The Key worth it on Royal Caribbean? In this full review from my Independence of the Seas short cruise, I test every perk — from early boarding and VIP lunch to reserved show seating and a calm disembarkation. If you’re cruising from Southampton or planning your first Royal Caribbean sailing, this honest guide shows exactly what The Key includes, how it works, and whether it’s worth the extra cost. You’ll see how early access boarding really works, what the Chops Grille embarkation lunch looks like (menu linked below), and what happens on disembarkation day with priority breakfast and luggage collection.
