Virtual Balcony vs Real Balcony — Is a traditional balcony cabin really worth paying more for? In this video, we're comparing two cabins onboard Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas: Ocean View Balcony Cabin 10294 and Interior Virtual Balcony Cabin 10273. Both cabins were on Deck 10, on the port side of the ship, giving us the perfect opportunity to compare a real balcony and a virtual balcony during the same cruise. And surprisingly, once you look beyond the balcony itself, these two cruise cabins have more in common than you might expect. We'll compare the cabin size and layout, storage and living space, Royal Caribbean's 80-inch Virtual Balcony screen, the advantages and disadvantages of having a real balcony, possible Virtual Balcony issues, and one of the biggest differences of all — the price. We'll also look at when paying extra for a balcony may actually be worth it, especially on scenic cruises to destinations such as Alaska and New Zealand, and when saving the money with an interior or Virtual Balcony cabin might make more sense.
