From the historic neighborhoods of Baixa and Chiado to Lisbon's famous hills, miradouros, traditional Portuguese pavement, the Tagus River, and the irresistible Pastéis de Belém, this is an introduction to Lisbon through the eyes of a traveler — and cruise lover — who quickly fell in love with the city. We'll also discover how the devastating 1755 Lisbon earthquake changed the city forever, why Baixa looks so different from Alfama, what it's really like to walk Lisbon's Seven Hills, and some surprising differences between Brazilian and European Portuguese. Lisbon is also a fantastic city to explore during a cruise.
