I took a Luxury Cruise in the Penthouse Suite! Regent Seven Seas Explorer Embarkation Day!
Hello Travelers, I took a cruise for the first time on Regent Seven Seas Explorer, and I did it in style! Here is a tour of Penthouse Suite 1006. Today is embarkation day, and wow what a difference the check in experience is with a luxury line! I went to check in, and there was just a small table where they looked up passenger’s names, took your details and issued the cruise card. It took very little time at all. They had a nice little refreshment table set up next to the check in area as well, but I just headed straight onto the ship. In no time, they announced the cabins were ready, so I headed over and dropped my carryon bags in the room, where I was greeted with canapés and champagne. There was a live orchid on the table. I met my butler (yes, I had a butler—this was a Penthouse suite after all), and he was able to make my dining reservations for me, since they were all unavailable except for the 9pm or later seatings. Dinner was in their main dining room, called the Compass Rose. I had Roasted Red Beet Carpaccio, Mushroom Risotto and Sliced Short Rib for dinner, and all were lovely.
