Travelling in the adults-only carriage, we climb nearly 3,000 feet through mountains, waterfalls, tunnels and breathtaking scenery while learning about the historic railway built during the Klondike Gold Rush. We also share practical tips for booking through Disney Cruise Line, what to bring ashore and why this became one of our favourite Port Adventures ever. After returning to Skagway, we spend the afternoon exploring the town, browsing local shops, trying the famous ice cream from Kone Kompany and taking in the Wild West atmosphere before sailing away. Back on board the Disney Wonder, we enjoy dinner at Tiana's Place, complete with live music, New Orleans theming and another fantastic evening of Disney Cruise Line entertainment. The following morning we arrive in Juneau, Alaska, where we set off on one of the most anticipated excursions of the cruise: helicopter glacier dog sledding. Flying by helicopter to the Mendenhall Glacier, we meet the sled dogs, experience dog sledding across the glacier and share our honest thoughts on one of Disney Cruise Line's most expensive Port Adventures. We also explain exactly what the experience involves, what surprised us and whether we felt it justified the price. After returning to Juneau, we explore the town, browse souvenir shops, search for the perfect Alaska pins and compare our excursion experience with other guests before heading back to the Disney Wonder. We also relax on board, enjoy more of the incredible Alaskan scenery and share our overall thoughts on visiting Alaska by Disney Cruise Line. Dinner takes us back to Triton's for another rotational dining experience before Gary attends Frozen, we draw Olaf during an animation class and continue our ongoing chess rivalry as another memorable day comes to an end. We also reflect on the Disney Wonder, Alaska's spectacular scenery and what still lies ahead on our Disney Cruise Line adventure.
