Sunset Sailway on the bridge of Star Breeze

Sunset sailaway and a moment that truly defines Windstar Cruises for me. 🌅✨ Meeting the senior team on deck as the sun dipped low was lovely — but what followed really stood out. Windstar’s open bridge policy allows guests to visit, observe navigation, ask questions, and connect with the people actually guiding the ship. Spending time on the bridge with Omar and Vladimir, two of the officers of the watch, watching the ship’s course, taking photos, and talking about life at sea was a highlight. I’ve worked onboard ships for Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, and Renaissance Cruises, and I’ve sailed with 10+ cruise companies over the years. I remember when bridge access was more common before 9/11. Today, only a few lines — including Windstar Cruises and Quark Expeditions — still offer this level of openness and trust. That access, transparency, and genuine connection between crew and guests is rare — and it’s one of the reasons Windstar feels so special.A wonderful evening at sea. 💙⚓️✨ #WindstarCruises #StarBreeze #tahiti #travel #luxury #180DegreesFromOrdinary #FrenchPolynesia
