Join my friend Gary and I for the Wanyama Safari at Animal Kingdom Lodge, as well as brunch at Tusker House character dining buffet in Disney's Animal Kingdom. This was both of our first times dining here and we'll share our full review of the food, character interaction and overall experience of the restaurant at brunch/lunch time. The Wanyama Safari is a paid tour that includes pre-tour snacks in Jiko, a 90 minute semi-private tour of the two savannah's at Animal Kingdom Lodge (conducted by a resident cast member in the animal care team) and a tasting menu dinner at Jiko upon conclusion. The tour start's at approximately 3:45pm, costs about $170 per person and includes all food, gratuities, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. In perspective, the meal alone would likely cost over $100 per person if dining at Jiko as a normal guest, based on the amount of food and drinks included. After the tour, we retire to Port Orleanse Riverside for a quiet evening enjoying the resort.
