New Zealand Newest Adventure in Wanaka

There was something about being in the middle of Lake Wānaka, with the mountains surrounding us, the water changing colour, and absolutely nothing else around us, that just got to me. We spent three hours on the lake with @reelsouthcharter, cruising past the famous Wānaka Tree and out towards the islands. Depending on the departure, you visit Mou Waho in the morning or Ruby and Stevensons Islands in the afternoon. You get time to get off the boat, walk around, see the native bush and birdlife, and even swim in the ridiculously clear water if you’re brave enough. But for me, it wasn’t just what we saw. It was how peaceful everything felt. Our guide was so passionate about this place that suddenly the mountains, trees and even the water felt different.
