Halifax Nova Scotia Cruise Port | Is Peggy's Cove Really THAT Beautiful?
Day 3 aboard Holland America's Volendam brings us home to Canada and into Halifax, Nova Scotia! We started the morning with breakfast in the main dining room while Volendam made her way into Halifax Harbour. Then, because apparently we're easily entertained, we spent some time watching how a cruise ship actually gets serviced in port, including how recyclables and waste are removed from the ship. Then we headed ashore. One thing became pretty obvious very quickly. Halifax is a fantastic cruise port if you just want to get off the ship and explore on your own. We walked the waterfront, checked out some shops, grabbed coffee, toured a ship along the waterfront, found some Yorkie stuff, and somehow bought ourselves some new East Coast clothing. Then it was time for the big one, Peggy's Cove. We booked Holland America's Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and Village excursion, which gave us about an hour to explore once we arrived. Was the drive worth it? Beautiful. Apparently that's the only word we know. 😂 The lighthouse, rocky coastline, little village and Atlantic Ocean were absolutely... well... you know. Back onboard Volendam, we finished the day with dinner, an incredible Celtic performance from Breton Thunder, and some more live music around the ship. Halifax, you treated us pretty well. Thanks for coming along! Steph & Rick #Halifax #PeggysCove #NovaScotia #HollandAmerica #Volendam #CanadaNewEnglandCruise #CruiseVlog #HalifaxCruisePort
