How Bad is RV Depreciation, Really? How Much Can You Save Buying Used? We Find Out at the Show.
In this video, we visit an RV show at the Don Garlitt's Drag Racing Museum in Ocala, Florida. This show is a bit different from others we've seen in that all the units on display are pre-owned. We take this opportunity to determine once and for all how bad depreciation really is in the RV world. We take you to 65 different Class C, Class B and Super C RVs comparing the used sale price to the original MSRP. What we find is shocking and could help you decide if buying pre-owned is the right decision for you. This RV show is put on by La Mesa RV in Sanford, Florida, and it is a perfect opportunity for them to showcase their pre-owned inventory, and educate prospective RV buyers on the benefits of purchasing an RV after the original depreciation has taken its toll on the unit's value. In this video we look at RVs from Thor, Tiffin, LTV, Dynamax, Renegade, Entegra, Jayco, Pleasure Way, Airstream and many, many more. There are a few dangers in trying to compare MSRPs to pre-owned prices because the MSRP very rarely reflects the actual sale price of the RV when new. Being aware of this, and knowing how to complete this calculation puts you one step ahead of the average RV buyer. As always, we provide our honest opinion and thoughts in the hope that our videos will provide helpful guidance to those who are looking to purchase an RV, and who may be trying to decide which RV to purchase for their travels. 00:00 Intro 01:56 A Few Notes on MSRP 03:17 Class C RVs 13:54 Class B Vans 16:19 Super Cs 20:28 Wrap-Up You can follow us on: Instagram: @halffasttravelers Facebook: @halffasttravelers2702 #halffasttravelers You Tube: @halffasttravelers You can also check out our Cruise channel @HalfFastCruisers Remember, Everything takes twice as long when you're half fast. #rvshow #rvreviews #rvwalkthrough #classc #2026 #superc #classb #rvmsrp #depreciation #rvtour
