I wanted two weeks on one ship, ending where I started. That turns out not to be a product you can buy. There are 2,846 real sailings in the index behind this channel. Thirty nine of them run 12 nights or longer, so I read every one to see where it actually ends. Thirty six finish in another region: they are transatlantic and transpacific crossings, and you fly home. Only three come back to the port they left from, and all three are 12 nights. From 13 nights upward, the number of single sailings that bring you home is zero. What does exist is 711 same-ship back-to-backs that reach exactly 14 nights, from 23 different home ports, and the longest true round trip on sale is 23 nights. I also got something wrong in the middle of this video and left it in, because the working is the useful part. I thought the way you SPLIT a fortnight changed the price. Grouped by port and length it looked like a 31% saving. Hold the ship and the month fixed and it falls to 14%, and the most even split wins 8 times out of 16. That is a coin flip. It is not a lever, and I nearly sold it to you as one. Fares are per guest, cruise fare plus taxes and port fees, interior cabin, and they move constantly. Treat every dollar figure as an example rather than a quote. One honest cost: taxes and port fees are charged per SAILING, not per trip. Across 2,094 chains the median is about $142 a guest per leg, so a back-to-back pays it twice. That is roughly 7% on top of the fare and no amount of clever booking removes it.
