What's the cheapest cruise you can book with Royal Caribbean right now? I didn't want to guess, so I checked every trip on sale: 3,109 sailings, sorted by what one night costs you with the taxes and port fees in. The winner is a full week at sea for $249, and most of that money isn't the cruise. Find the cheapest nights from your port, every leg priced with the taxes in, free: https://legtolegcruises.com?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=description&utm_campaign=cheapest-cruise&utm_content=en Some links below are affiliate links. The cruise fare is $80. The taxes and port fees are $169, twice the fare. Taxes and all, that's about $36 a night; a typical week-long cruise right now costs about $147 a night. THE LOWEST PRICE TAG The lowest total price belongs to a different ship: Ovation of the Seas, four nights from Los Angeles, $199, and only $50 of it is the cruise fare. Per night that's $50, against the Voyager week's $36. WHERE THE TAXES BEAT THE CRUISE On 36 sailings the taxes and port fees cost more than the cruise fare, and 34 of them go from California to Mexico. On every check since early August, most of the cheapest nights came from two kinds of trips, California to Mexico and Atlantic crossings: about four out of five spots at the top (252 of 320). A crossing only goes one way, so budget for a flight home. SHORT CRUISES COST MORE A NIGHT A three-night cruise typically runs $184 a night; a five-night, about $122. Even on the same ship, a three-night trip costs about 20% more per night than a four-night one. CHRISTMAS WEEK Mariner of the Seas, seven nights from New Orleans: $1,465 leaving 26 December, $517 two weeks later. Across 42 holiday sailings against the same ships in January, Christmas cost more every single time, usually about 70% more. LAST-MINUTE DEALS I tracked 114 sailings as their departure dates got close: 6 out of 10 got more expensive (70 of 114). Balconies: 8 out of 10 (79 of 98), usually up by almost a third. When you spot a cheap week, don't sit on it. BACK TO BACK Voyager's eight-night trip from Los Angeles on 5 November gets back the same day the $249 week leaves. Stay on board for both: 15 nights for $548, about $37 a night, roughly half the price of a typical week. SOURCES Fares, taxes and port fees are from our index of 3,138 Royal Caribbean sailings on 29 September 2026: the cheapest inside cabin, per person, two to a cabin, taxes and port fees included, tips not included. Price history: every check since 7 August 2026. Fares move every day, so treat every figure as that day's example. Stock footage from Pexels. MUSIC "Matunda" by Sonny Simba.
