When you're choosing your next cruise, what matters more: the ship or the itinerary? For me, the ship matters—a lot. I love sea days, exploring everything onboard, trying the restaurants and activities, relaxing on my balcony and even staying on the ship while everyone else heads into port. But destination absolutely matters too. If I'm cruising Alaska, Europe, Norway, Japan, Hawaii or somewhere I've specifically traveled to experience, I'm getting off the ship and exploring. And there's another reason I think the ship matters: itineraries can change. Weather, medical emergencies and other circumstances can occasionally cause a cruise line to change or skip a port. I want to know I'd still be happy with the vacation I booked even if everything doesn't go exactly as planned. So now I want to know: Do you book for the SHIP or the ITINERARY?
