Lisbon is one of the best cruise ports in Europe, and on this stop we explore Lisbon on foot, right from the dock. Docked near the city center, Lisbon makes an ideal cruise day trip with iconic viewpoints, historic neighborhoods and an unforgettable sail-away. After disembarking, we walked straight into Alfama, Lisbon’s oldest neighborhood, known for winding streets, tiled buildings, and incredible hilltop views. Along the way, we stopped at the Miradouros of Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol, explored the Castelo de São Jorge district, and discovered hidden gems near the castle. We also sampled one of Lisbon’s most famous treats — a pastel de nata — before wandering through Rossio Square, Rua Augusta, and the lively Baixa district. Later, we explored Cais do Sodré, Pink Street, and the beautiful Ribeira das Naus river promenade, ending at the grand Praça do Comércio. The day wrapped up with one of the most memorable moments of the cruise — a Lisbon sail-away on the Tagus River, passing under the Dom Luís I Bridge and gliding past Jerónimos Monastery, the Monument to the Discoveries, and Belém Tower at sunset. If you’re planning a Lisbon cruise excursion or wondering what to do in Lisbon in one day, this walking guide is for you. 🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢🚢 Chapters: 0:00 – Lisbon Cruise Port Arrival | Docked in the City Center 0:14 – Walking from Lisbon Cruise Port | Easy Access to Top Sights 0:17 – Alfama Neighborhood | Oldest District in Lisbon 0:31 – Exploring Lisbon’s Hills | Early Morning Walk in Alfama 1:20 – Miradouro de Santa Luzia | Best View in Alfama 1:39 – Iconic Lisbon Views | Azulejo Tiles & Tagus River 2:14 – Igreja de Santa Luzia | Historic Church & Tile Panels 3:15 – Miradouro das Portas do Sol | Panoramic Lisbon Viewpoint 5:34 – Castelo de São Jorge District | Hilltop Lisbon Walk 6:00 – Hidden Gem Near the Castle | Santa Cruz do Castelo Church 6:48 – Best Pastel de Nata in Lisbon?
