Off the Gangway is where the adventure begins. 🚢 We’ve been cruising for decades and along the way we’ve gathered a wealth of tips, insights, and real-world experience to share with you. Our cruising journey began on the original Sun Princess in 1980, and most recently we sailed aboard the new Oceania Allura. We cruise for the ships—but we travel for the ports. Whenever possible, we explore independently to fully experience each destination. If a port is too far from the main attractions, we’ll turn to cruise line shore excursions or trusted third-party tour companies. Our goal is to inspire your next getaway and help you plan exactly how to make the most of your day in port—what to see, how to get there, and whether to go it alone or book a tour.
