We Took Norway's Most Scenic Train (The Bergen Line)

I’ve wanted to take my parents to Norway forever (especially since dad recently found out he has Norwegian heritage) — and what better than a slow, scenic cruise adventure along Norway’s insanely beautiful coastline? But this isn’t your typical cruise… it's a working ship — part ferry, part cargo vessel, and part lifeline for the tiny communities scattered along the edge of the Arctic. 🚢🇳🇴 Super cool. To even reach our ship, we had to take one of the most scenic train rides in the world — the Bergen Line — crossing giant mountains, glassy lakes, and landscapes straight out of a dream. From there, we explored the colourful streets of Bergen, checked into the most extravagant boutique french hotel we’ve ever stayed in, and then finally boarded the Hurtigruten Coastal Express, ready to sail north through fjords, fishing villages, and crazy orange sunsets.
