What a 3-Day Cruise on the Carnival Firenze Feels Like!
We squeezed an entire Carnival Firenze cruise into one 3-day adventure—and it definitely didn't go exactly as planned! Our weekend aboard Carnival Firenze started with a surprisingly chaotic arrival at the Long Beach cruise terminal. The normal gangway wasn't working, parking was a question mark, and embarkation quickly became an experience unlike anything we've encountered in our 20+ cruises from Long Beach. But once we finally made it aboard, things settled down. We stayed in a Terrazza aft-facing balcony and got to experience Carnival's Terrazza perks, including the private outdoor space and breakfast in the Terrazza lounge. We also enjoyed sailaway, Bonsai Sushi, trivia, the pool deck, comedy, plenty of relaxing, and a very low-key sea day. Then it was off to Ensenada—but rather than spending the day exploring the city, we decided to take it easy, get some great shots of Carnival Firenze, and enjoy the ship while most passengers were ashore. Along the way, we discovered some things we really loved about Firenze, a few things we weren't so crazy about, and some surprising lessons about choosing a Terrazza balcony cabin. And somehow, after all of that, we ended the cruise with one of the fastest debarkations we've ever experienced. This isn't our usual “Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3” cruise series.
