A Walk Down Pink Street in Puerto Plata, DR | Paseo de Doña Blanca | Dominican Republic
Pink Street, officially known as Paseo de Doña Blanca, is one of those spots in downtown Puerto Plata that’s clearly designed for one thing - your Instagram feed. It’s a popular stop for cruise passengers exploring the downtown and an easy place to walk to from the cruise port. Couple it with a visit to nearby Umbrella Street and you've got the two covered. The street is painted almost entirely in pink, with matching walls, doors and decorations that make the whole place stand out. It’s definitely more of a photo stop than a major attraction, but that’s really the point. You walk through, take a few pictures or some video, look around for a bit, and then keep moving. It’s located right in the heart of Puerto Plata, not far from the waterfront and other downtown sights, so if you’re walking in from Taino Bay, it’s an easy stop to add without going out of your way. There’s not a whole lot more to it than that, but if you’re looking for one of the more colorful and recognizable places in the city, Pink Street is definitely worth a few minutes.
