We Almost Got Stranded in Sitka… Then We Met These Bears! 🐻🚕
Come along with us to Sitka, Alaska on our Norwegian Cruise Line Alaska cruise as we visit @fortressofthebearsitka 🐻 and get up close with rescued brown and black bears! 🛳️ We also share what happened when our plan to get Mom and her power chair to the sanctuary completely fell apart…and how an amazing local taxi driver saved the day. 🚕✨ This ended up being one of those port days we will never forget! We watched bears play, nap, and enjoy feeding time, with a few hopeful crows hanging around for leftovers 😅 and even spotted a bald eagle. Fortress of the Bear was such a special place, and we loved learning more about the orphaned cubs they rescue and care for. 💛 If you are visiting Sitka with a power chair or other mobility equipment, definitely watch before you go.
