Queen Mary 2 on a summer transatlantic crossing across the North Atlantic was supposed to be the easier choice. Then we woke up and realized something had changed overnight. Day 6. We’ve crossed this ocean in winter before. We thought summer would play by different rules. What happened overnight had us heading outside to see for ourselves — and it quickly became obvious this was NOT going to be the sea day we expected. And the North Atlantic wasn’t finished with us yet. Somehow, life aboard QM2 continued around it all. We experience something we’ve never done on a ship before, hear an important update from the bridge, head to the Queen’s Room for Cunard’s famous afternoon tea, battle the realities of doing laundry at sea, and somehow Michael still finds his way toward the casino around midnight. 😂 But throughout the day, one question kept coming back: Did we completely misjudge what a SUMMER North Atlantic crossing could be like?
