Copenhagen Cruise Embarkation Was Easy… Until Security Took THIS | Princess Cruises
Cruising from Copenhagen, Denmark? Our Copenhagen cruise embarkation day started incredibly easy—until security took a travel charging device we'd used for years. Come with us from our Copenhagen hotel to the cruise terminal as we compare getting to the port by train, taxi and Uber, show the luggage drop-off process, cruise-terminal security, Princess Cruises Medallion check-in and what boarding the ship was actually like. We ultimately chose Uber from central Copenhagen, and the ride directly to the cruise port couldn't have been easier. Once we arrived, however, Andrea's larger bag had to be checked, we needed luggage tags, and the security line began to build. Then came the surprise. Security took Michael's multi-plug charging adapter with USB ports so it could be inspected and tested. He had traveled with it for years without an issue, making this one part of Copenhagen embarkation day we definitely weren't expecting. Princess Cruises currently advises that certain multi-plug adapters, power strips and extension devices may require inspection and can be removed if they are considered a safety hazard, so always check the latest prohibited-items policy before sailing. After security, Princess check-in itself was easy: passport, Medallion and onto the ship. Once onboard, we also take you around Deck 7 and show some of the passengers, luggage, food and supplies still being loaded for the cruise.
