Thunderbird Falls Trail and Eklutna Lake Anchorage, AK 99567 Thunderbird Falls Trail is an easy 1.8 mile out and back trail that features a waterfall and a "love lock" bridge. This trail is great for all skill levels. And just a bit down the road inside Chugach State Park is beautiful Eklutna Lake. There are many ways to explore this glacier fed lake. The Snow Plow Train Potter Historical Site Seward Hwy, Anchorage, Alaska See an old rotary snow plow train. I would not want to be stuck on the tracks as this thing was coming along. Anchorage, AK This zoo has the widest variety of animals native to Alaska. The zoo is set on a beautiful wooded hill. The Alaska Zoo focuses on wildlife conservation and animal rehabilitation. Lake Hood Seaplane Base Anchorage, AK This is the largest and the busiest Seaplane of floatplane airport in the world.
