This is where you can have a unique encounter with stingrays and encounters with starfish. We are in Grand Cayman in the Caribbean only for the day so we want to do the best excursion Grand Cayman has to offer and Stingray City and Starfish Point is a must for adventures of all ages. We are vacationing on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Odyssey of the Seas and that is who we booked our tour with but if you are vacationing in Grand Cayman this incredibe excursion can be booked through hotels or Viator. Stingray City is the best most unique thing you can do in Grand Cayman. Guests take a 25 minute boat ride out to Sting Ray City Sandbar. This is a series of Sandbars that make it so you are standing in waist deep water. This is where these friendly gliding giants come in hopes of finding food from the tourists. More specificly, squid parts. Here you can snorkel and swim with the stingray. Our tour leaders gave us a chance to pose with and feed these graceful pancakes. We then took a short boatride over to Starfish Point Beach on the top of Rum Point in shallow water. This area is dotted with colorul Starfigh. Here we touched and delicatly handeled the starfish. Never bringing them above the serface of the water. The water here was calm and shallow so the kids could safely play and interact with the starfish.
