Nieuw Amsterdam inside cabin number 4162, filmed on a Panama Canal cruise. This is the first time we have stayed in a Holland America standard inside cabin on this class of ship. Here is what we liked, what we did not, and whether it is worth booking. Deck 4 made the cabin easy to reach from decks 2 and 3, and one deck down to the promenade. Storage worked for a long cruise: two closets, pull-down shelves, and a drawer set on each side of the bed. The makeup mirror has magnification on one side. The shower was short for Jeff at 6'7" (2 m), and it has a curtain, not a door. The minibar and fridge drinks are not included in the Have It All package.
