Juneau, Alaska by Rental Car… We Never Expected THIS
We rented a car in Juneau, Alaska and explored the port on our own during our Alaska cruise — and the day turned into one we definitely won’t forget. From the National Shrine of St. Thérèse and Eagle Beach to driving the Glacier Highway and visiting Mendenhall Glacier, we spent the day seeing just how much of Juneau we could experience with a rental car. We saw bald eagles, found bear tracks, had a bear cross the road right in front of us, and somehow ended up watching another bear catch a salmon at Mendenhall Glacier. This was our first time renting a car in a cruise port, and we used Turo for the day. Our original plans had been canceled because of the fog, so getting the car gave us the freedom to explore Juneau at our own pace — even in the rain.
