Carnival Rewards Explained: Who Actually Loses Status
Carnival Rewards explained, including what the new program actually costs and who loses the most when VIFP Club goes away. If you have not enrolled yet, do that first. Carnival replaced the VIFP Club with Carnival Rewards on September 1, 2026, and it changed the whole logic of the program. Status is no longer based on how many days you sail. It is based on how much you spend, it is no longer for life, and you have to requalify every two years. I break down Status Qualifying Stars versus Carnival Rewards points, what each tier costs in real dollars, and the group of cruisers I think got hit hardest by the switch. Nobody is talking about them. If you are sitting between 25 and 74 days sailed, tell me your number in the comments. That is the group I think got the worst of this and I want to see how many of you there are.
