Ketchikan Cruise Port Guide | Ward Cove & Tatoosh Islands Kayak Tour
Planning a cruise stop in Ketchikan, Alaska? In this video, we show you what to expect at the Ward Cove cruise port before taking you along on a Tatoosh Islands sea-kayaking adventure. We’re Patrick and Amy, and this was our first time visiting Ward Cove. We begin with a look around the cruise terminal, including the large souvenir-shopping area, food options, seating, excursion meeting points, and the free shuttle into downtown Ketchikan. We’ll help you understand how the port is organized so you’ll know where to go after leaving your ship. For our excursion, we travel to the Southeast Exposure Outdoor Adventure Center on Potter Road. After getting geared up, we board a Zodiac for the ride out to the Tatoosh Islands, where our kayaks are waiting. From there, we paddle along the beautiful forested coastline and enjoy an unforgettable day on the water.
